Friendly Mummy

It's so much fun to make cute cards to send to family and friends for Halloween. The new Friendly Mummy stamp from DeNami Design is perfect for those too-cute-to-spook cards.

Can you believe that I used four different DeNami stamps to create this clean-and-simple, quick-and-easy card? Yup, that's right. The cling-style Halloween Fence, cling-style Retro Borders 1 Set, and the wood-mounted Happy Halloween all joined forces with the Friendly Mummy to bring you this card {wink}.

And it just so happens that you can snag this fun little mummy stamp at 10% off this week because it's the DeNami Product Spotlight!

Want some more ideas for using DeNami's Friendly Mummy? Be sure to check out the DeNami blog today to see how the rest of the design team used this stamp. I know you'll be inspired!!

Happy Birthday, Nami!!

Today is a special day at DeNami Design Rubber Stamps. It is the birthday of none other than Nami herself--the owner and stamp illustrator behind DeNami! Today DeNami friends are helping to celebrate this special day with a blog hop that's all about the birthday girl. Happy Birthday, Nami!!

I have the honor of being the first stop on today's blog hop! (If you get lost along the way, you can always head over to the DeNami blog to get pointed in the right direction.) I can't wait to show you the birthday card I made for Nami!

When I first stumbled across DeNami rubber stamps, I was immediately smitten with all of the adorable DeNami animals. I mean, who can resist, right? But it wasn't long before I discovered the full selection of Nami's elegant stamp designs, and I find myself reaching for these timeless (yet fresh!) classics--like this Decorative Crest Circle--again and again. And no one does hand-scripted sentiments (like this one from the All Occasion Sentiments set) better than Nami--no one!! It is an absolute delight to play work with Nami's fabulous designs as a member of the DeNami Design team. I'm wishing you a day filled with happiness today, Nami, and many, many more!

Your next stop on the "Happy Birthday to Nami" blog hop is the fantastic Amy Smidebush. Be sure to check out her creation celebrating Nami and then make your way through the hop back to the DeNami blog to leave your good wishes for Nami. :)

Halloween Goblins

Whew! Here we are already on the 12th of September! The past week at our house has been a whirlwind of going back to school and figuring out what will work for our new school routine. Over the weekend, we took in a concert, went apple picking, had friends over for dinner, kicked off the new Sunday School year, and celebrated my hubby's birthday. And so far this week has been filled with appointments and hubby's travel for work. So, when I tried to catch my breath, I was surprised to realize just how far into the month we are already! Halloween is just around the corner ;), so I dove right in and made my first Halloween card of the season--one featuring some one-eyed goblins, no less!

I created these too-cute-to-spook guys using DeNami Design's Fuzzy Ball stamp, coloring with colored pencils and odorless mineral spirits, and drawing on long, skinny legs by hand. Each goblin's feet were created by snipping in half a small heart punched from coordinating cardstock. The background paper is some that I picked up at Target several years ago--I just love the colors in it!

This adorable Fuzzy Ball stamp is our DeNami Featured Stamp this week! It will be on sale at 10% off all week. There are so many ways to use this fun little image! Be sure to check out the DeNami blog today for lots more creative ideas using the Fuzzy Ball.

Thanks so much for dropping by! See you again soon,

DeNami Back-to-School Blog Hop

Good morning, friends! And welcome to the DeNami Design Back-to-School Blog Hop! Today the DeNami Design Team and customers alike are showcasing projects that are just perfect for this time of year: anything having to do with going back to school!

Hopefully, you've arrived here by way of Pattie Goldman's blog, Paper Silhouettes. If so, you are on the right track! If not, you'll want to head over to the DeNami blog to start the blog hop at the beginning. (And remember, if you get lost along the way, you can always head over to the DeNami blog to get pointed in the right direction.)

Don't forget, there are some super-fun DeNami prizes to be won! Two lucky commenters will be drawn at random from among the comments left along the blog hop to win a $20 DeNami Design gift certificate! You have until Monday, September 10, 2012, 11:59 pm PST, to leave comments on all the blogs to be eligible for a prize.

So, for my back-to-school project I made packaging for a yummy back-to-school muffin! Perfect for surprising your favorite student or teacher with a good-luck breakfast send-off. :D

Isn't that DeNami Cupcake Boutique Box absolutely adorable? It's a 4.25" cube, the perfect size for packaging up decorated cupcakes or gourmet muffins. You can order them directly from the DeNami web store in packages of six. You can also purchase an awesome downloadable cupcake holder template from DeNami. It fits in the Cupcake Boutique Boxes perfectly! I printed my template directly on a sheet of white cardstock and trimmed it down. Then I used the DeNami Small Apple in red to stamp a background all over the cupcake holder.

My other back-to-school accent for this first-day-of-school muffin box was made by stamping the sweet Chickie School Bus on white cardstock and then coloring it in with my colored pencils blended with odorless mineral spirits and a paper blending stump.

All that was left then was to pop in a yummy muffin and tie it up with some red ribbon! Perfect for getting the new year off to a great start with a special breakfast treat!

That wraps it up for me! Before you leave, be sure to leave a comment to be eligible for the randomly drawn prizes and then you can be on your way to the next stop on the hop, the blog of Virginia Larsen, GinnyLou Studio.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Enjoy the blog hop,

Emily

Get Well Medallion

Good morning! And a Happy Labor Day to all of my fellow Americans. I hope that you are enjoying the last extended weekend of the summer!

Today I am sharing a little something different that I cooked up for the brand-new Anything Goes monthly challenge using my DeNami Design rubber stamps.

I just love a brown/aquamarine color combo, so I knew I wanted to put that to good use for this card. I also adore the Ornamental Vine stamp and was playing around with it a bit, ending up with a really cool-looking medallion design. I thought it would make a super focal point for a card! I kept my design simple, opting for some Small Swirl Corners to frame the medallion. I quickly ran out of room for a sentiment, so I punched a label to slip under the edge for my "get well soon" sentiment.

Got DeNami stamps? If so, then you have no excuse for not playing along with this month's Anything Goes challenge! Check out all the challenge details, along with other DT challenge samples, today over on the DeNami blog.
